Citroen c5 gps problem
Hello .. I have a problem with the gps signal on myway as my shows only 1 satellite. When I drive for a while it finds me more maps and starts to show the miraculous height as the navigation works. When I turn off the car everything is lost .. Also everything starts again ..

Garmin nuvi 1690 stuck on Garmin logo after power on
I have a Nuvi 1690 that gets stuck on Garmin logo after power on. It is no longer recognized by my laptop (connected by usb cable) even when I try to enter pre boot mode. Could it be hard bricked or is there something I could try to get it back in working condition?
To get a EU firmware by old links does not seem to work as Garmin apparently wants users to use their Garmin Express software which is no help when the conected nuvi 1690 is NOT even showing up as a usb device.

NavTech maps on the original (BE4716) and MB units EDIT AND MOD audiio 30 aps
can someone give little guide or some software for updating or modding maps for this unit please
as latest i find here are the

the maps used are the once made for most cars - NavTech maps
so i m sure there is an option to make this work and as the unit is simple handy if u lost
please anyone if you can input knowledge i m sure some of us will still appreciate the effort

Instructions:
Download the file to your computer and prepare the USB stick as follows:
1. Please make sure that your USB stick has a storage capacity of at least one has 32GB
2. Please format the USB stick with exFAT before the update Please note that by the formatting will delete all data stored on the USB stick to extract the file, you can use programs such as WinZip, WinRAR or 7zip use.
3. Navigate to the downloaded file on your computer.
4. Unzip the files (with a program of your choice at the highest level (in main directory) of your USB stick.
5. Pull the USB stick out of your computer and take it with you into your vehicle.
6. Switch on the engine of your vehicle.
7. Insert the USB stick into the USB port of the vehicle. Follow that instructions on the SYNC screen.
8. The USB stick must first be recognized by SYNC. This can take up to eight minutes.
9. The update of the SYNC-So ware takes about 25-30 minutes carried out.
Within 5-10 minutes, SYNC will display the pop-up message 'System restart' and restart SYNC, causing navigation, phone calls, Bluetooth streaming, etc. to be interrupted.
Do not remove the USB stick from the USB port yet (the update is not complete completed).
As soon as the SYNC 3 screen is completely visible and the pop-up message Automatic So ware update is displayed, press Not now. Do not press 'Yes' or 'No'!
The installation process will continue automatically
When the update is completed, the pop-up message 'Installation complete' displayed on the screen.
10. Before the updates take effect, you must turn the ignition key. Remove the USB stick. The updates will be in the next time you start your vehicle come into force. Alternatively, you can activate the update using the following steps:
Carry out an ignition key turn.
11. Ignition OFF / stop.
12. Open and close the driver's door and lock it.
13. Wait 2 minutes (make sure the SYNC display turns off).
14. Unlock / open the driver door.
15. Ignition ON / start.
16. Restore language: In some cases, the system language may change after completion of the update switch to English. In this case, please follow the steps below to set your preferred language again.
a) Select 'Settings'
b) Select 'General'
c) Press the first dropdown button and select your preferred language

DDX9019DABS with KNA-G610
Hi I'm just after some help with the screen size/resolution on a DDX9019dabs connected to a KNA-G610 gps module.The G610 is from Ebay US. Everything works ok except some of the screen is covered by the top and bottom bars showing receiver functions while the gps is running. In manuals I have seen it shows the Garmin screen fitting between these bars and fully visible.
I have a img_rsrc_480x234 and a img_rsrc_800x480 in the Garmin folder . If I swap/rename these it changes the screen size but still not correct.Does anyone have a newish Kenwood DDX with KNA attached to see which file it may require(800x400 maybe) ?
