A NEW RELEASE BROUGHT TO YOU BY MAP PIRATE!

ABOUT THE RELEASE

These maps were ripped and converted from
the .qct files found in a fairly recent
version of the Hema iOS app. They should
contain all of Hemas digital maps of
Australia up until 2013.

They have been converted to .ozf2 format
with corresponding hand calibrated .map
files containing correct geo-referencing
information. Each .map contains the
relevant datum and projection.


FORMAT

.ozf2 & .map

I choose the ozf2 format as it produces
high quality images at a fairly small file
size, and it's fairly compatible with
various map conversion softwares. The
actual OZI Explorer software is also
readily available.

If you would like to see these in another
format I can possibly convert them from
the master files and make them available,
just let me know.


CREDIT

All credit goes to Hema for producing these
absolutely outstanding maps. If you enjoy
using these maps please buy something from
Hema to let them know you care!

The main reason I converted these maps was
because Hema's iOS app leaves a little to
be desired (it's basically a port of
Memory Map) and they have not made their
recent maps available (for purchase) in any
other digital format.

GPS Problems

Hello all, I have two apps that use GPS, Tom Tom GO and Viewranger my phone is a THL 5000 which I use because it has the best battery life (to the best of my knowledge) of any phone on the market. It finds satellites very quickly but when using GPS it jumps around all over the place, you will be following GPS instructions down a road and it will suddenly jump position showing that you are in the middle of a field. any ideas ? Viewranger is a walking app and does the same I have done a full reset and used a GPS Fix app

Hello guys! i just want to ask what best app i could use. as a student pilot my budget is just limited. I fly here in the Philippines. I got a Garmin GLO as a present last year. as of now i only use the map that appears on the bluetooth GPS app. monsoon season is coming up so i want to have a proper gps navigation app as back up. Hello

I have a problem with the addition of Pois and Pois Type to my vehicle
I have contacted the manufacturer (Honda) and tells me that it is impossible to add them. For my is a drawback since I am a celiac and I am obliged to prepare the routes taking into account where as e or where buy gluten-free foods
On the other hand nor can I add radars and other points of interest... We are going that I prefer bringing off browser as it does not have too much utility
Would it be possible that some "guru" could tell me how to modify the firmware? or if it is not possible they could try explain me why?

user poi in Nextgen.

I copied my poi's from Igo Primo to Igo NextGen by copying the map "userdata" to the Nextgen content map.
I can navigate to my Poi's by selecting it in Places and that is working perfect, but I cannot cannot get the icons on the map. I can mark all the standard poi-icons ( gasstations. etc ) but i cannot mark the userpoi's.
How can I get the icons showing on the map.
