Problem with trying to use CCD GOLD card on Echomap Plus 44cv
Hello, this is my first post in the forum. I would really appreciate your help. I own a Garmin Echomap Plus 44cv V5.20 and here in Brazil besides Bluechart South America, I use the CCD GOLD PLUS (MapID: 12270) in another GPS. I'm having a hard time making Echomap recognize this letter, I have the original 25-digit code, I've already tried unlocking my own letter and I can not make Echomap recognize it, always when I start the device it displays the message "Can not unlock the map. " What can it be? Does anyone know of any way to make the device recognize the letter?
I read something about generating the 25 digits according to the MicroSD serial number but I do not know which program can be done this.
PS: Forgive my English, I already tried the program JetMouse, GarminUnlockerAlternativev8.0.1, however, I think it's just missing some detail. Thanks in advance. This forum has helped me on several occasions.

j'ai un autoradio Philips CED781 dont j'ai perdu la carte SD avec le navigateur iGO .
J'ai racheté une carte vierge,
mais je ne sais pas ce que je peux mettre dessus ?
J'habite en France je parle français (
le cherche navigateur qui fonctionne bien sur mon appareil.

Outdated RNS 315 - How to upgrade FW/SW
Hi guys,
seems like here are the most knowledgeable people around, that is why i posted this thread; Hoping anyone can be of any assistance.
This is the situation where i am at atm:
Part number : 3C0035279J
Software version : 0263
System Hardwareversion : H34
GPS data parts number : 3AA919866
GPS data version : 0038
GPS data : EUR_W_0038
As u all can see, this RNS315 GPS has still ancient firmware and outdated GPS software. I really want to upgrade this device.
So, of course i did some digging of my own. This is what i came up with:
Software version 0263 ---> 0270 ( This seems like the highest possible software version for my part number 3C00.. )
GPS data EUR_W_0038 ---> VW RNS 315 AZ Western Europe V11 2019 ?
In order to upgrade the software, i just need to burn the 0270 software file on a CD-RW with IMGburn on the slowest speed possible. This should suffice, from what i read on this forums. Or does this require any special proceedings? Also, is it possible to burn the file on a DVD-RW? Or is the RNS 315 not able to read dvd's?
Here comes the tricky part: Thanks to someone named Uglekislorod for posting the instructions on this forum, in order to upgrade the maps, it seems, one has to prepare a SD card loaded with the maps.
1 - SD/microSDHC memory card samsung EVO/EVO+ 16/32/64Gb older then summer 2016. Format the SD card in FAT32 by Guiformat.exe utility (https://fat32-format.en.softonic.com/).
2 - Unpack by last WinRar and copy navpsf_update on card . Nothing more!
3 - Start Laptop from boot flash Ubuntu (previously created in PC by LiLi USB Creator or UNetbootin: http://unetbootin.github.io/)
4 - Copy file mmc and mmc32 to Desktop
5 - Right click -> open terminal, then go to the Desktop folder ( by command "cd Desktop" )
6 - Make command execution rights by command "chmod 777 mmc32" and "chmod 777 mmc"
7 - Insert the SD in slot. Terminal command "df" and verify the name card.
8 - Change CID by terminal command:
"sudo ./mmc32 prog_cid /dev/mmcblk0 5d53424c32424d31013917ca53010400"
or
"sudo ./mmc prog_cid /dev/mmcblk0 5d53424c32424d31013917ca53010400"
9 - Locking using passwords
For the RNS315, you must to lock the card by appropriate password.
Double-check that you have the correct folder on the card and all data inside. Nothing else!
It's not possible to unlock easy again !!!
I think i will mess up the Ubuntu part. The copying of the map file seems like no problem. Can anyone assist me on this part, even though the upper instructions are clear, it seems like i will still need a password or something? I am not sure, but i see everyone requesting a CID password or something.
- Also: what does the AZ stand for in the navigation title?
- Also: will upgrading my GPS software to V11 result in a bootloop?
I really hope someone can clarify a bit for me or just has simple advice on how to proceed safely.
