I purchased a second hand VIA 220, connected to MyDrive and it connected (knows serial number, etc) and received an email with the following text
"You have successfully associated and activated your Map or Service on your device.You can now start to use these.
However, it does not want to update the map. It does not know there is a new map. Current map version is 885 (which is around 2012). My understanding is that VIA 220 provides Lifetime Map Update (I think this device has not reached its lifetime yet in Australia). The seller said he bought it within Australia back in 2013.
It did update Quickfixgps but not the map.
Can somebody give me some pointers as why? Anything I can do to make it update the map?
