Hi all,

In Primo 1.x and 2.x if you wanted to setup Non TTS for the warnings it was very easy. Make a directory in the root directory called ui_igo9\audio and place your WAV files for the various warning (eg: Speed Camera.wav) into the audio directory. Then all you had to do is make your changes to SYS.TXT. Like:-

Code:

[warning]
speedcam_enabled=1
speedcam_warning=1
speedcam_continuous_approach_beep_when_tonal=0 ; What does this do??
overspeed_min_speech_repeat_delay=-1 ;-1=Do not repeat - Used for TTS??
overspeed_min_tone_repeat_delay=-1 ;-1=Do not repeat
speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=10
overspeed_sound=1

; S P E E D C A M - C A T : 0
[speedcam_category:0]
activated_spoken_type=none

approach_beep_distances=500 ;repeat the warning every n metres.
approach_beep_spoken_type=sound ;Speech=TTS
approach_beep_sound="Speed Camera" ; the WAV file name
;approach_beep_speech="Speed Camera" ;Used for TTS

overspeed_spoken_type=sound ;was none
overspeed_sound="alert2"

warn_distances="150:2000,140:1800,130:1500,120:1400,110:1300,100:1200,90:1100,80:1000,70:850,60:?700,50:600,40:500" ;speed:distance

min_frc=-1
use_road_speedlimit=1 ;1 - Use the speed limit given in maps. 0 - Use the speed limit given in speedcam.txt

However this approach is not working in NextGen and I'm wondering if the directory names have changed as I'm not getting any sound at all for the various warnings.

Any ideas?

TIA

Greg
