Hi guys,
before i start this thread i would like to say that this is not a tutorial,....it is only to Educate and inform our members about their options on which Windows operating system they can use on their PC,... in order to have a better Navigation experience,...while using older Cracked navigation software in combine with newer.
It has been for along time that i was troubling myself,....about which is the best windows operating system to have,.... in order to be able to use all my Navigation programs together (older cracked navigation software in combine with newer) in one strong operating system!
Although the 64-bit transition period has come and passed,.... there is a surprising number of windows users with active installations of the 32-bit Windows operating systems.
As you all know Navigation programs are quite heavy and require alot of RAM, an option which is available only in 64bit windows operating systems, as the 32 bit systems are limited to something around 3GB of RAM.
A lot of people still prefer to use 32 bit version of windows , but 32 bit versions of windows do not allow us to use more than 3GB of your RAM (4GB theoretically , 3GB practically).
Instantly the problem that applies for all of us Navigation users,....who dont like paying hundreds of dollars for Navigation programs,....is the fact that alot of the Dongle emulators, cracks, patches and keygens have been created to work in 32 bit windows operating systems.
We have an example with the cracked dongle driver of TRANSAS NAVIGATOR, which can unlock all the latest versions of this great program, but only works under 32 bit windows.
Many 32 bit operating systems with a PAE kernel,... support the use of PAE to address more than 3GB of RAM on an 32 bit operating system. PAE is available by default in windows server editions.
For the people who are still in love with 32 bit windows (or like us who dont like to pay huge dollars for software) but have more than 3GB of RAM installed on their PC,......there are 2 options available:
1) To install a 32 bit windows server edition operating system.
or
2) To use the PAE patch for 32 bit windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 and enable more RAM on your PC.
(strictly at your own risk).

The 3GB RAM barrier
In computing, the 3GB RAM barrier is a limitation of most 32-bit operating systems. It prevents the operating systems from using more than about 3 GB (3 × 10243 bytes) of main memory (RAM). The exact barrier varies by motherboard and I/O device configuration, particularly the size of video RAM. It may be in the range of 2.75GB to 3.5GB. The barrier is not present with a 64-bit operating system, or with certain x86 Windows Server editions.
Why Am I Limited to 4GB of RAM?
The reason behind the so-called 3GB barrier lies in the architecture of 32-bit operating systems. Each individual byte of RAM has its own physical address that the system uses to access particular units of memory. 32-bit systems have a limit on the amount of addresses available for RAM and various other components. Depending on your setup, this can limit the amount of RAM your system can support to somewhere around 3GB although it could be slightly higher or slightly lower.
A technique called physical address extension (PAE), can allow a 32-bit OS to support up to 64GB or even up to 128GB of RAM. By increasing the physical address size from 32 bits to 36, there are plenty more addresses available for the system to use but the systems virtual addresses stay the same, ensuring that everything works just as it should.
How much RAM does your version of Windows support?
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows 10:
Windows 10 Home (64 bit) 128 GB
Windows 10 Professional (64 bit) - 2TB
Windows 10 Enterprise (64 bit) 2TB
All 32 bit versions of Windows 10 4GB
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows 8.1:
Windows 8.1 RT (64 bit) 4GB
Windows 8.1 (64 bit) 128GB
Windows 8.1 Pro (64 bit) 512GB
Windows 8.1 Enterprise (64 bit) 512GB
All 32 bit versions of Windows 8.1 4GB
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows 8:
Windows 8 (64 bit) 128GB
Windows 8 Pro (64 bit) 512 GB
Windows 8 Enterprise (64 bit) 512GB
All 32 bit versions of Windows 8 4GB
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows 7:
Windows 7 Starter Edition 2GB (Note: there is no 64 bit version of Win 7 Starter Edition)
Windows 7 Home Basic (64 bit) 8GB
Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) 16GB
Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) 192GB
Windows 7 Enterprise (64 bit) 192GB
Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) 192GB
All 32 bit version of Windows 7 Except Win 7 Starter Edition 4GB
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows Vista:
Windows Vista Starter Edition 1GB (Note: there is no 64 bit version of Win Vista Starter Edition)
Windows Vista Home Basic (64 bit) 8GB
Windows Vista Home Premium (64 bit) 16GB
Windows Vista Business (64 bit) 128GB
Windows Vista Enterprise (64 bit) 128GB
Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit) 128GB
All 32 bit version of Windows Vista Except Win Vista Starter Edition 4GB
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows XP:
Windows XP Starter Edition 512MB (Note: there is no 64 bit version of Win XP Starter Edition)
All 32 bit versions of Windows XP (except Win XP Starter): 4GB
All 64 bit versions of Windows XP: 128GB
Memory Limits for the various versions of Windows Server 2008:
Windows Server 2008 Standard (32 bit) - 4GB
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (32 bit) - 64GB

Windows Server 2008 Standard (64 bit) - 32GB
Windows Server 2008 Enterprise (64 bit) - 2TB
Windows Server 2008 Datacenter (64 bit) - 2TB
So,...to conclude,.....for me the best windows operating system to have,.... in order to use all my Navigation programs together (older cracked navigation software in combine with newer) in one strong operating system is:
1) Windows Server 2008 Enterprise OR Datacenter (32 bit) because it supports 64GB of RAM.
or
2) Any 32 bit windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 with the PAE patch applied (stricty at your own risk),....which is going to allow your OS to support up to 128GB of RAM.
Example of Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (32 bit) - Supports up to 64GB of RAM

Succesful example of Pae Patch applied on Windows 10 Pro (32 bit) - Supports up to 128GB of RAM
(This is my personal PC in case any of you has a doubt if it really works!)

- THE PAE PATCH METHOD IS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND SHOULD ONLY BE USED BY EXPERIENCED USERS.
- IF YOU WANT TO TRY THE PAE PATCH JUST USE A HARD DRIVE WITH A WINDOWS INSTALLATION THAT DOESNT HOLD IMPORTANT DATA AND IT WILL NOT CAUSE ANY TROUBLE IF YOU FAIL!
- I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BAD OUTCOME, ERRORS ON YOUR SYSTEM OR OTHER UNEXPECTED EVENTS!
