How To to change internal disk in RT4 (05/04/16)
I have got any problem with the radio, infact when I turn on the car the radio attemp 10/15 minutes to run and the parking sensors don't run until the radio is completly run.
The Machanical saw me:
- to flash new firmware: I flash with 8.31 but didn't resolve my problem; :banghead:
- change the battery: Its a special battery I changed but didn't resolve the problem. :banghead:
After I change the disk and I resolv the problem.
For change the disk its necessary:
- the minipata-cf adapther and set on slave for the disk, that I bought on amazon:

- the CF disk in solid state from 32gb: I bought 64gb for I have more space in the jukebox function:

Umount the radio and change the disk in the radio and set CF to slave, mount the radio and turn on the car with the firmware disk in the radio for create and format the new partitions. Its important: DO NOT TURN OFF THE CAR DURING THE FIRMWARE UPGRADE!
After I umount the radio and with the PC, I copy the files from original disk to CF disk, this procedure is necessitary for copy the settings of the car (sensors, menu, audio/videos, telephone, jukebox, maps, ...). When finisched to copy remount CF in the radio then in the car.
Now the radio startup in few seconds!

Ho avuto diversi problemi con la mia Citroen C6 del 2008 che montava una radio RT4.
Quando accendevo la macchina la radio si fermava sul logo citroen per il caricamento e restava per circa 10/15 minuti, uno dei problemi fondamentali è che in quel tempo non andavano neanche i sensori del parcheggio.
Ho portato l'auto dal concessionario che mi ha consigliato di effettuare:
- Aggiornamento software: effettuato all'8.31 ma non ho risolto (il CD con il firmware costa solo 20), questo però non ha risolto il mio problema; :banghead:
- Sostituzione della batteria principale dell'auto: questa invece costa quasi 200 perchè non è una batteria standard ma è una particolare, ciò nonostante il problema non si è risolto. :banghead:
Dato che ho una certa manualità ho deciso di provare a cambiare l'harddisk all'interno come ultima prova, dato che il concessionario mi aveva detto che per ripararlo doveva mandarlo in un centro apposta ed il costo sarebbe stato di 350.
Per la sostituzione è necessario:
- un adattatore miniPATA - CompactFlash con selettore di Primario o Secondario (questo è importante perchè il disco deve essere settato su slave altrimenti non funziona, ed è anche la motivazione per cui non ho preso diretamente un SSD pata, perchè non sarebbe stato possibile settarlo su slave), l'ho acquistato su Amazon:

- Una Compact Flash da almeno 30Gb: io l'ho preso sa 64gb e ha funzionato tutto perfettamente, in questo modo si guadagna più spazio per la funzione jukebox, l'ho acquistato su Amazon:

Smontare la radio e sostituire il disco con l'adattatore con il jumper posizionato su slave ed il disco non formattato, rimontare il tutto ed avviare la macchina ed inserire il cd con il firmware in modo da creare le partizioni e formattarle. E' molto importante NON SPEGNERE L'AUTO DURANTE L'AGGIORNAMENTO DEL FIRMWARE!
Finito Smontare la radio e usare il pc per ricopiare i dati dall'harddisk originale alla Compact Flash, questo è necessario per ripristinare i settaggi della vettura (sensori, menu, audio/video, telefono, jukebox, mappe,...). Quando ha finito rimontare la CF nella vettura.
Adesso la radio si accende in pochi secondi, e le movimentazioni nei menu e nelle mappe è pressochè istantanea.
Spero di essere stato utile, ho deciso di scrivere questa guida dato che non ho trovato niente di definitivo in giro sul web.
