iGO 8.3.5 auto day/night colour changeover wont work at all ! Please help

Hello there, I've got a problem with my iGO 8.3.5. Every time i go into settings and set auto day and night colors changeover, the option goes back to off... EVERY TIME. Now I Wonder if I should update to Igo PRIMO 9.6 or is there a way to make it work ?

I Have a chinese radio with GPS running Igo 8.3.5 and I Wonder if IGO 9.6 Primo has more features or if my maps will work too !

Thanks for info guys I really want the AUTO day night colors to work.
