ANDROID iGO Primo - various issues, resolution and memory

Hi Guys.

Device: HuiFei Microntek Car Head Unit (KGL/Erisin).
Device Screen Resolution: Fullscreen - 1024x600, With Status Bar - 1024x562
Android Rooted: Yes
Android Version: 4.4.4
iGO Version: various
iGO Location: /mnt/external_sd/
Map Version: HERE 2016.Q4
Skin: default
Addons: TMC, POI

Problems:
Trying to find a lightweight version of iGO which is truly "resolution independent" which doesn't take up much RAM, and also doesn't have any superfluous files.

I've tried the all in one pack, which immediately gives me a resolution not supported message.
I've tried various other packs, which give me either a zip invalid message, or missing java zip
I managed to get one or two versions to finally start up, however when trying to search a POI, scroll around the map, or plan a long route, iGO will crash with an Out Of Memory error.

I'm in the UK, I don't require TTS, I just want a version of iGO with no extras, just a clean, basic licensed build where I can add my own maps and POI's, which works at 1024x600 resolution, I just can't get the proper combination working.

Any ideas at all?
