Hello,
Various mounting kits from a rearview camera on the RT6 that does not have this recent option exist on the market.
First of all, I would like to introduce you to the "carvision" equipment purchased some time ago.
Website of the distributor:
Other distributors now offer Plug & Play kits that are easier to install.
Distributor's website:
The camera has evolved since the purchase, a new version is available online, surely a little more powerful.
A model to be placed on the front of the car is available as an option for those who would be interested.
The purpose of the assembly is to have a rear view of the vehicle during the reverse to avoid a shock during parking.
In addition, have a system that can be installed on an RT6 without too many complications (?).
The interface is quite complete at the level of the connections, two video inputs switchable, a dedicated camera input, two inputs and an Audio output.
An automatic switch of the video from the original screen or camera completes the explanations.
Audio from the Video inputs is distributed over the vehicle's HP, such as the original GPS sound.
Audio connections are not necessary if the camera is used exclusively.
The White (Video Switch) and Gray (CAN Bus) wires are not used.
The Blue 12V Reverse cable of the camera cable is useless when using the wire from one of the BSI jacks (Reverse).
The pose is scheduled as soon as possible, motivation like that of a friend is wise today.
The wiring is to be done completely on the vehicle, which is fun after a necessary reflection time.
The problem remains the recovery of the wires concerned on the original wiring, an intermediate beam may be the solution ?
