WIN CE Novice requires help updating GPS system

Hi guys, I hope you can help me.

I'm from the UK and I have specifically joined this forum in hope that I can get my old GPS device updated. I am hoping to pass my old device off to a close family member of mine who can make better use of it. Right now I am at a complete loss on where to start and what program is best for the unit I have.

The device I have is:
Make / Model: Dragon Pearl GPS500
Screen size: 5 inch
Memory installed: 128 mb
Operating system: Win CE 6

My device currently has IGO Primo version: 9.6.13.267029 / Nov 6 2012 software installed on it, with what looks like Q3 2012 maps.

Long story short, I have done this sort of application installation before but this is now stretching back many years since I last did anything like this. The last time I tried to update the above GPS device I was pulling my hair out in frustration as it took me days to get anything working on my device. I am really a novice at these things. Luckily, since then I have relied on my car's inbuilt sat nav system and google maps on my smart phone and have never had to look back at this since.

The time has come where I have to do this one last time before I pass the device off as a present. This is where I desperately need help and assistance. I need to know:
1. What the current best software available is for this device?
2. I will need step by step guidance on where to download the recommended software, and how to install it on my device.

As for the current software that is installed on the device, it works well, maps seem to be out of date, but I prefer it to have full post code search function (it doesn't seem to have that ability).

I would appreciate any help on getting this device updated. Please help, thanks.
