There's a first time for everything. March 18, 2016 marks the day that for the first time I'm attempting to replace the screen on a nüvi 780. I've replaced screens on a variety of nüvi's before, so basic relevant knowledge is present. :wink:
This particular screen has 3 connecting ribbons. Two of them are attached to the PCB by means of the usual "clip" that needs to be lifted (with care!) in order to release the ribbon. The third one I can not make out properly how it is attached to the PCB. As I don't want to force things beyond "simple repair", I'd rather ask here first how to detach this particular ribbon from the PCB. See picture below, showing the ribbon still attached as well as the new screen lying next to the unit. Thanks for any advice! :smile:
