Nuvi 40 lost PC connection

Help, not sure of the correct forum or thread so my apologies

1) Bricked device MODEL, Firmware version, HWID. Device is not bricked, Garmin Nuvi 40 Software version 4.00

2) Why and how the device got bricked. Not bricked, but not recognized by PC

3) Symptoms: what's wrong in your device? not recognized by PC, cannot be updated, but seems to work ok other than that

4) Does your pc sees your device ? No, have tried different USB cords and different PCs with no luck

I've tried the download updater.exe to microSD card and trying to update that way (from this thread http://www.gpspower.net/garmin-recei...d-nuvi-12.html) but updater.exe doesn't seem to execute when I boot Nuvi.

Any help is appreciated
