My sat nav is lost!
It can't seem to 'use' any satellites it can 'see', which sometimes is 0 and others 12.
I had the car at the dealer the other day for two recalls and asked them to look at it.
They tried to update the firmware but said it wouldn't accept it so suspected the SMEG unit was faulty and (as it's just out of warranty) estimated approx. £1000 to replace. I should point out that we live in the Shetland Islands and as our own dealer closed down over a year ago, sending the car back to the mainland for further work would cost me £435 for the ferry in addition to repair costs (which Citroen may or may not decide to contribute to).
So, live without the Sat Nav we thought, not too big a problem, but then the jukebox started playing up too so I thought I'd better investigate as not knowing much about car computers I was worried more serious problems may be developing. This led me to this excellent forum, where I was able to update the firmware myself with the latest available on here (in 2 stages which is probably where the dealer went wrong). Unfortunately though, this didn't fix either problem.
I'd like to check the connections to the SMEG unit, but I don't know where it is or how to access it.
So, does anyone have any suggestions please? Many thanks in advance for any help given.
