Enable Traffic on Drive 40?

I have a Garmin Drive 40LM, and a GTM26 FM Traffic Receiver. The Drive does not support the traffic function of the GTM26. Is there any way to mod the firmware of the Drive to use the traffic function? I know that this was possible on older models.
