I bought a BC G2 Vision chart this year, copied it for me, then uploaded here and sold the original. Now trying to get the free upgrade (trying to get the original back, but), I talked to Garmin and managed an RMA for the SD card for my chart vs an online update, as the upgrate cannot be downloaded and needs the SD card to be actually replaced due to size restraints. In talking with the rep about SD cards, he happened to mention that they can NOT even read the serial numbers for the SD cards sold or returned to them...so that being the case, why can't I just send back an SD card then with ALL my 3 original copied files that I have for the exchange, as they shouldn't know it's not on the original SD card. BTW, the original SD had no markings on it as it was created on a blank chip by GPS City for resale, so I'm thinking just I send back an SD with the 3 original files and they just accept it without any tests and ship me back the new one. So any thoughts on this why it may or may not work? Worst case I guess is they do catch it, contact me to see what's up and I just say that's the one I got mailed to me, so "I don't know " :))) What can they do except not send me the new updated SD then?
