Montana 610 map position

I have Montana 610 with Trakmaps Topo Ontario loaded. I'm using it on my kayak.

When paddling/tracking, my position remains in the bottom center of the screen. Meaning, close to the bottom and centered between the left and right sides of the screen. The landscape scrolls forward, back and sideways around my fixed position. I can swipe left and right to see more of the geography, but that freezes my position on the map, so that the landscape does not move on screen and the track is not visible while I paddle. I have to exit back to the "normal" screen to follow the track.

There are many routes where i am not interested in the geography to the left of me, for example, but I would like to see further to the right of me. I could see how far inland a bay goes, for example, without either reducing the scale of the map or scrolling it sideways.

Is there a way to set the Montana so that I can move my position left or right and still be able to see the track as I paddle?
