Help for a newbie?

Hi all,
I'm new on here and could do with a little guidance (pun intended) to get me started.

I have just installed a Chinese Double din head unit in to the motor. (Xtrons 966 dab, runs wince6)
The navigation, when it starts up says
IGO, my way, Primo.
Good start lol.
My initial questions are .........
1. How do I find out which version Im running?
2. none of the voices will announce Street names? Thats TTS right?, any way to get that working.
3. If i bought an eBay version will that get TTS working or will i still have to delve into the inner workings?

Its on an 8gb Micro SD card which I guess at some stage I'm going to have to put in the adaptor and then in to my Mac.

Am not totally computer illiterate, just Igo illiterate.
