My wife and myself are travelling around the world with motorcycles. We are in Mexico and both our Zumo's just decided to die on us. We use them as our dash and are pretty much in trouble if we don't have them to navigate.
I have done some searches and it seems possible to unbrick them. It seems it's a software problem. But I have no idea how to go about it as it's quite technical in nature and the Cure3 seems like voodoo stuff.
I loaded OSM Mexico maps 2 months ago and they were okay, then few days ago my unit just died and continuously switched on and off only getting to loading the maps then OFF.
Then I uploaded a track I created on Google maps and converted it to .gpx and both started with their nonsense. So far so now both can only power up and show the splash screen and then switch off by itself, they turn ON again and while it shows loading maps dies again. I tried the hard reset but neither wants to go past the choose country and then switch off. I can't even get them to talk to the laptop.
It also seems because I am using a Apple mac and not windows that might also be part of the problem.
Any advice?
