Adding a TomTom MAP in R-Link

Hello everybody!

Newbie on this site, so pardon my inexperience with TomTom. I have used TomTom GPS', the GoLive 940 and the XXL, and am familiar with TomTom Home and the map update process (ie basic process).

My wife and I just bought a new car, a 2016 Renault Koleos. We both live in Mexico City and want to take a longer trip to the US. When we contacted the Renault dealer, we were told that a US map is NOT available.

Curiosity kills the cat, so I googled a little bit, and was able to access the SD card that is in the car (with a program called R-Link explorer). The file structure seems familiar what I have seen on my TomToms when I accessed them with file explorer (Windows).

Now the question is, how do I install a US_Mexico map onto the SD and get it to work? I tried copying a map that I copied from my XXL and it doesn't work (no surprise really).

Any ideas!
