I hope I am not opening post that has already been open but I would really like to learn more from you guys, from more experienced users or drivers.
- Simply how do you fully utilize HNR, HSP, TMC, TMC PRO (not clear what this is) etc?
- Is there a big difference in routing when HNR, HSP files are present or not?
This is what I found on line and if somebody can provide us with more info (simple) please do it.
TMC (Traffic Message Channel) in Car GPS Navigation Player System
TMC (Traffic Message Channel) in navigation function is a technology for delivering traffic and travel information to motor vehicle drivers. It is digitally coded, using the Radio Data System on conventional FM radio broadcasts in car DVD player. It can also be transmitted on Digital Audio Broadcasting or satellite radio. TMC in gps allows silent delivery of dynamic information suitable for reproduction or display in the user's language without interrupting audio broadcast services. Both public and commercial services are operational in many countries. When data is integrated directly into a navigation system, traffic information can be used in the system's route calculation.

HSP file is an iGO Primo Histspeed File. iGO Primo is a GPS navigation software package for PDA/PNA devices, developed by Hungary-based Nav N Go Ltd.
Chooses the best route based on day of week and time of day
Considers past speed patterns
Utilizes
Traffic patterns (Navteq)
Speed Profiles (Tele Atlas)
The additional info is in separate content files (.HSP and .FSP)
The SW feature is included in the base product, but requires additional content and content license.
The hnr file extension is associated with iGo Primo GPS navigation software and GPS navigation devices developed by NNG Software.
The hnr files contain the most economical (shortest) routes data.
TMC PRO - HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NORMAL TMC AND TMC PRO?
Thank you

If anybody can provide us with a nice explanation about this things and how to fully utilized it I would be grateful. Has anyone noticed any difference in routing WITH or WITHOUT these files?
Thank you
