ANDROID Which is the most feature-rich and stable release?

Hi

since I've had to be very busy the last months and wasn'ta able to follow these threads I think I totally lost the overview of the right NextGen Release.

Perhaps, maybe or hopefully someone can help me a little bit for finding the right one, please

Which version of those many NextGen releases here is the

  • most feature rich (Android TTS, OnlineTraffic and perhaps Search-Enabled but no other requirements)
  • most stable
  • has the most recent maps for at least europe

There are two device that I am be bored. It are the barely alive Nokia 7110 and the stolen Sony car audio with super joystick. May be Garmin Lenexa to slake my sorrow. Although it is no detail about HMI interface for maps and navigation but the general idea give me a chance to be happy to decide - Garmin and I are alive or not :)

DESCRIPTION
TELchart is an electronic charting system (ECS) for maritime use. The system makes use of vectorized marine charts from C-Map and offers a wide range of functions for navigation, route planning, safety, logging and data presentation.

The TELchart line of products have now been in continual development for more than 16 years, in close cooperation with our partner Furuno Norway's dealer network and end users from fishing, shipping and offshore vessels. In addition, the developers of TELchart themselves have direct experience with marine navigation. This have resulted in a charting system uniquely adapted to user needs while at the same time delivering unsurpassed ease of use.

TELchart maintains its user friendly interface, making the system very easy to learn. At the same time the system can offer a powerful suite of functionality tailored for a wide range of vessel types.

Main Features :
- TELchart makes use of vector-based marine charts from C-Map, and offers a wide specter of options for chart presentation customization for each navigators individual preferences.
- TELchart has taken a long new stride in navigation safety. The vessel movements are continually monitored and analysed in conjunction with the chart data by TELchart anti grounding system.
- AIS is a very useful tool for navigators, both for navigation safety and assistance. TELchart provides to-way communication with most AIS receivers.
- TELchart makes it even easier for fishing vessels to store large amounts of data on their fishing grounds. All symbols, tracks and depth soundings are continually stored so that no data is lost if a power outage should occur.
- TELchart also provides featurs for 2D / 3D ocean floor display (optional). By attaching a depth sounder to the system, the 2D / 3D model is automatically improved . This way, the user can easily generate their own depth charts and improve on the amount of data available from the official chats.
- Close integration with Furuno radars. The radar cursor position can be displayed in the chart, ARPA targets can be displayed in the chart and the route plan can be transmitted to the radar. Radar overlay is also possible (optional).
- Menus and all extraneous information reducing the size of the chart image can quickly be removed and displayed automatically when needed.
- LORAN-C coordinates can be displayed
- Name Search for place names
- SAR (Search and Rescue) search patterns
- Target simulation (Dead reckoning)
- Flexible system for sensor data connections, with support for a wide range of equipment
- Powerful and advanced route planning
- Plot cross bearings in the chart
- Replay system allowing playback of data from both own vessel and other ARPA and AIS targets for any previous point in time.

HELP with alpine x009 wra Navigation system

Hi Buddies

I went through all the threads but couldn't find the one that can help me.

I live in Dubai and ordered alpine x009 wra for my jeep through quadratec. After fixing and using the NAVIGATION system i realized that it doesn't have middle east maps.

I tried everything before coming to GPS power,,,, tried using other igo maps and copying it in maps folder,,,,,,i tried using igo for fly audio but it always showed 800x400 error message.

When i reached GPS power, i read couple of threads and got some idea but still need someone to direct me how to do one of the following
either

HOW CAN I USE THE IGO PRIME NAVIGATION SYSTEM WHICH CAME WITH MY ALPINE WITH MAPS OF MIDDLE EAST (which means how to find the right files which igo can read)

OR

CAN I USE ANY OTHER IGO WHERE I CAN USE MAPS OF MIDDLE EAST WITH THE SAME ALPINE SYSTEM

OR

CAN I USE ANY OTHER GPS SYSTEM WITH THIS ALPINE


Guys i've never had to bothered abt the gps system so plz advise me clearly with clear instructions what to do

I already appreciate the help i got from here and i will be grateful to you guys for your time

WIN CE Nextgen junction view problem

Hey Guys!

I need some help. I use Zenec v9.19.5.612525 WinCe version on a Wayteq x950 hd bt gps with 2015 q4 HERE maps (by cserrobi) and world licences collection. My problem is that igo says "inactive content" for the fjw files.

Tuto: How to create individual Waypoint Files for TomTom Go + 'classic v1.4'

There are many tutorials out there that describe how to create individual Waypoint Files for TomTom. Some of them work, but are really complicated (with interim steps to create CSV or XLS Files, editing them, etc.).

In this tuto I describe the quickest and simplest way I successfully tested with TomTom Go v1.10 and the classic v1.4... For TomTom Go you can create as many files as you want to (e.g. for a specific vacation, your standard favorites, etc.). But for the classic TomTom v1.4 only one single file is allowed, it has to be named 'Favorites.ov2'


You only need 'Extra POI Editor':
o http://turboccc.wikispaces.com/Extra_POI_Editor
o you can install it, but for me even the standalone EXE worked without installation

Do the following:
o your source file with POIS: e.g. a GPX-File containing the waypoints
o open it in Extra POI Editor
o Save it in ov2-Format: File... Save as...
o The nomenclature of the ov2-File is important for TomTom Go. It has to have the format 'AnyNameOfYourChoice_Favorites.ov2'. Don't use spaces within the file name.
o Place those kind of ov2-Files into: \Android\data\com.tomtom.gplay.navapp\files\files\personal\pois\
o for TomTom 'classic' the similar folder is in the internal part of your phone (\data\data\...), so it has to be rooted

When you then launch TomTom Go it tells you that new Waypoints are available und you find each of your Waypoint files separately under 'my places' (if this is the english wording within TomTom).

Advantage of Extra POI Editor: it removes all information for each waypoint and only leaves the waypoint-name plus of course the coordinates. If there would be other information around the waypoints then the names of the waypoints in TomTom Go are often quite strange.

We had bought the new car of another Russian manufacturer - UAZ a month ago. It has project code of "The loaf of bread" due to similarity with:
13793617193024

There is the beautiful multifunction display:
uaz buhanka2016 7

But it is on distance of arm's length. The seats do not have tilt angle adjustment due to a hard partition behind the back. So if you want to get some data from this display on a sunny day you must to lie down on motor cover from right hand side:
uaz buhanka2016 6

It is really innovation of 2016 model year :) Lenexa will come sometime only...
